Image segmentation is a concept that often used for object detection. This detection has difficulty detecting objects with backgrounds have many colors and even color similar to the being detected. study aims detect fish using segmentation, namely segmenting images k-means clustering. The process processed by improving image first. initial preprocessing improve image. Preprocessing done twice, before after. stage 1 resize reshape. Whereas after contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization. results are segmented K-means classifies segments between background (using k = 8). final step morphological open close operations obtain contours black white based on grayscale from images. Based experimental results, can run well, ssim value 1, which means information does not change. Processed provide clear picture of so this help objects.
